Morning Everyone.
I know that I should really dislike Mondays, but Fridays for me have always been worse. Simply because it’s so close to the weekend, but continually seems to last 10 times as long as any other day in the week. I’m sure you will agree this also seems to be the day when deadlines get shortened or renders go wrong.
So to take away some of this collective pain, I want to share some special 3ds Max related goodies with one of you lucky people. It’s my way of saying thanks for all your support by continuing to read my 3ds Max related blog and Twitter posts.
Below is a quick peek at some of the goodies you could easily have turn up through your letter box:
The Goodie-not-sure-if-thats-a-real-word-Pack currently stands at:
- 1x Limited edition embossed notepad
- 1x 4gb USB stick
- 3x Large product logo stickers
- 1x Very special USB mini-mouse, and
- 2x Autodesk sponsored DVDs
(+ what ever else I can steal borrow from the marketing cupboard before it gets sent out – just don’t tell them.)
The DVDs are two quite different titles. The first concentrates on the “Sketches of Frank Gehry” and features an inside look at his work, through the eyes of director Sydney Pollack. The second DVD, is “Design e2” (Narrated by Brad Pitt.) which discusses the economics of being environmentally conscious. Both DVDs were funded by Autodesk as a main partner for the films.
As you can see, the mini-travel-mouse is also particularly special. As well as being my personal favourite, this handy mouse, even lights up when plugged in. It also features a scroll wheel on the side, with its own retractable cable, allowing for easy storage in its travel bag. Only a few were produced. (and even I don’t have one.)
Unfortunately, these are the last of the above items I have, so there won’t be anymore. This is your only chance. (I’m trying to add drama, so just go with me on this one…)
So how do you earn them?
Well it’s relatively easy.
All that I ask is that you send your Twitter followers a ‘tweet’ about your favourite ‘Jamies Jewels’ blog post. If you don’t have access to Twitter, then you can enter via Facebook, by writing a similar post directly on MY Facebook wall.
Below you can find some example posts for you to use, but you can also choose your own wording should you prefer.
Example Tweet: “My favourite 3dsMax blog post is: <add weblink here> #3dsMaxGoodies by @3dsJamiesJewels”
Sample Facebook post: ““This is a great blog post if you use 3dsMax: <add weblink here> #3dsMaxGoodies by @3dsJamiesJewels”
After the below cut-off date, a random message will be chosen and this person will receive the gifts – See, I said it was simple!
Most importantly, ensure you do this by 26th October 2012, 17:00GMT
By notifying me of which posts you have found interesting, you also allow me to carefully plan future blog articles, guaranteeing they remain relevant to your work. Please only include a link to a blog post that you genuinely found informative, and would like to see again.
If you do add your own wording to the tweets, (which I would encourage) then please ensure you include #3dsMaxGoodies . This will guarantee I can find your tweets, and add you to the list of other entrants.
In case you were wondering about the above picture effects. I once again relied on Autodesk’s pixlr-o-matic, the free editing tool to create them. I’d recommend giving it a try. Anyway, lets get back to the reason your reading this….free stuff.
To reiterate you can potentially earn these gifts by doing one (or both) of the below:
1) Add to Twitter: “My favourite 3dsMax blog post is: <add weblink here> #3dsMaxGoodies by @3dsJamiesJewels”
2) Add to this Facebook page: “This is a great blog post if you use 3dsMax: <add weblink here> #3dsMaxGoodies”
Remember this chance closes on 26th October 2012, at 17:00GMT, when a random entry will be chosen.
Finally a huge thanks to Daniel Pero for supplying some of these great gifts.
Happy Max’ing, and good luck….
