Morning All,
What better way to start the day than with two inspirational projects from RealtimeUK, both created for Wargaming.net.
In case you aren’t aware of the name RealtimeUK, then they were formed in 1996, and are based within Lancashire, in the North of England. Producing a wide range of world-class CGI work including Games Cinematics, Brands and Commercials, and Automotive CGI solutions.
First up, we have the “World of Warplanes teaser trailer.”
There’s lots we can discuss, about the technical merits of these clips from the heat trails, to the clouds and fire sims, however for me the clever way in which they transition between shots is key to these trailers. The technical wizardry is certainly amazing, but the story is king.
Next we have a look at the “World of Battleships teaser trailer.”
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that these are the types of projects I would of loved to have been involved with….
RealtimeUK have a rich heritage in producing compelling cinematics and trailers involving aircraft. You may remember the epic work they produced in 2011 for THQ Inc’s Stormbird’s. The below was created by 8 Artists in 3 months using 3ds Max, Vray, Vue and Afterburn.
