Hi All
On my travels I get to see some great work produced with 3ds Max. The company i recently met with in Gothenburg/Goteborg, Sweden, was no exception.
This studio is called, Haymaker, which is a visual effects and motion design company.

About Haymaker:
“Haymaker… …specialized in direction same as production of digital imagery for commercials and feature films. We believe in providing quality combined with a personalized customer communication that help nourish powerful visual results and relationships regardless of project size.”
Haymaker currently consists of four people, two of which are 3ds Max artists. (Alex Hansson, Fredrik Swerin, Daniel Tegeland and Richard Blank.)
Daniel Tegeland, has been using 3ds Max since release 2.5. As well as exploring tool such as Softimage (XSI) and Maya. They also rely on tools such as Nuke and Adobe’s After Effects for Compositing.
In this showreel you will see some work for Volvo. In this spot for Daniel relied quit heavily on the ‘Supermesher’ plugin. He used this to be able to bake out a lot of the objects, into a single geometry pointcache file. He also mentioned he had examined the new plugin from Thinkbox Software called xmesh. “I was a beta tester on that one. It worked great but I am not using it at the moment. Another plugin which we use a lot is RPmanager”.
They have kindly shared their latest 2012 motion reel with us all. (A new one is in the making, so watch this space.) Thanks to Daniel and the team at Haymaker for sharing:
Happy Max’ing
