Hi All
Ever wondered what the corner arrows mean on Material Swatches? No, oh OK. Well lets pretend you have as they allow you to quickly identify key pieces of information within your scene. This information is correct for both the ‘Compact’ and ‘Slate’ Material editors.
In the below image we can see three bits of important visual feedback within the large material swatches.
1. The left swatch contains no arrows within the 4 corners, so we can identify this as being not applied to any scene object.
2. The middle Swatch contains 4 grey arrows and a noticeable white border around the main box. This means the material is applied to a scene object, however is unselected within the scene.
3. Lastly, the remaining material swatch shows 4 distinct white arrows. This provides us with strong feedback that the material is applied to the object we have selected within our scene.
Happy Max’ing
