Did you know you can Right Click on the command panel in 2011+ to “minimize” it. Then when you need to use the panel you can hover your mouse over and it will autoexpand to display the tools you require. This allows for optimum screen viewport space or ‘screen real-estate’ as its often referred to.
Follow the below options to implement this:
1. As you can see I normally favour the command panel, in a dual panel mode. This normally allows for all the options/toggles/sliders to be seen in one go. From here you hover over an empty area of the main command panel tab bar. (highlighted.)
2. Now Right-click, and you will see the following options. Select ‘Minimize’ Your Command Panel will now nicely tuck itself away, giving you a larger viewport space.
3. You should now have a screen which resembles this:
To make the command panel revert to its static mode again, you simply need to re-perform Step 2, but this time Select ‘Dock’ and follow the onscreen options.
Happy Max’ing
